The diagnosis before the prescription

The SEO audit that ranks
findings by revenue.

Most audits are a sales pitch with a crawl attached. Ours is the first step of every engagement we run — which is why the first pass is free. Two people built FreedInsure from a $227 first month to a $1.3M-a-year book with three-quarters of clients renewing by finding the biggest dollar leak and fixing it first. That is the entire method. Now it reads your site.

What's actually broken

Why most SEO audits change nothing

We've bought audits and we've been pitched by auditors. Six ways the standard audit takes your money and leaves your revenue exactly where it was.

Failure 01

The 90-page doorstop

Ninety pages, color charts, a table of contents — and nobody opens it twice. An audit that doesn't become a work order is a doorstop with a cover page. The deliverable was never the PDF. It's the fix list somebody actually runs.

Failure 02

A tool export with a logo

The auditor ran a crawler you could run yourself, exported the findings, and added branding. You paid for judgment and got a tool's output. The tool can't tell a trivial problem from a five-figure one. Telling them apart is the job.

Failure 03

The audit that sells the auditor

Strange how every agency's SEO audit concludes you need that agency's SEO retainer. When the person grading the test sells the tutoring, the grade is marketing. A real audit has to be able to clear you.

Failure 04

No revenue line anywhere

Findings ranked critical, warning, notice — by a crawler that has never seen your books. A missing meta description outranks a broken quote form. Severity by tool is not severity by dollars, and dollars are the only ranking that matters.

Failure 05

It stops at the ranking

The audit ends where the ranking ends. But rankings feeding an inbox nobody answers isn't an SEO problem. The follow-up machine has to be in scope — it's where we've watched the most money die, including on our own floor.

Failure 06

One PDF, then silence

One audit, one invoice, goodbye. Nobody checks whether the fixes shipped or whether they held. An audit without monitoring is a photograph of a moving car. Accurate for a moment. Wrong within a quarter.

The operator audit

A website SEO audit that reads the whole chain

Visibility, technical, content — and the lead handling behind them. Most auditors stop at the site because the site is all they can read. We run the floor the leads land on. The deep technical layer — crawl, index, speed, schema — is its own discipline, covered on the technical SEO page. The audit reads all of it, then ranks it by one number: revenue.

  • The whole chain, not just the siteVisibility, technical health, content, and the lead handling behind it — forms, response speed, follow-up cadence. Every finding ranked by revenue impact, not crawler severity.
  • The honest verdictSometimes the answer is: your SEO is fine, your follow-up is the leak. We say so. Moving a close rate from 20% to 30% raises revenue 50% with zero new traffic — an audit that can't see that isn't looking.
  • The free tier is the revenue diagnosisNot a teaser with a paywall behind it. It's the same first step every engagement we take starts with — which means it has to be right, or we inherit the error.
  • Written findings you keep either wayA ranked fix list in plain writing. Hire us, take it in-house, or hand it to another vendor — the document doesn't expire when the call ends.

We audited our own business before we ever audited yours.

FreedInsure: founded February 2023 by two people with zero startup capital. First month of commission, $227. The book grew to $1.3M a year with roughly three-quarters of the book renewing. It grew because we kept diagnosing our own funnel and fixed the biggest dollar leak first — sometimes rankings, sometimes pages, more often the follow-up behind them. Clients left the verdict in public: 4.9 stars across 519 Google reviews.

That habit is the product. We generated our own leads and bought vendor leads for years, so we know what a wasted click costs in real money. Every finding in our audit carries a dollar line because we learned to read them on our own P&L. Walk the whole build in the FreedInsure case study, or see exactly what the first step covers in how our diagnosis works.

The method isn't a secret. These are free, and they're most of what a first consult would cover.

Straight answers

Questions people ask before the audit

An SEO audit is a structured review of everything that decides whether search sends you customers. It covers four layers: visibility (where you rank, where you're absent, and who takes the clicks instead), technical health (crawling, indexing, site speed, structured data), content (whether your pages answer the questions buyers actually ask), and lead handling (forms, response speed, follow-up cadence — the layer almost every audit skips). Good SEO audit services rank every finding by revenue impact and end in a prioritized work order, not a severity score. The deep technical layer is its own discipline — that's our technical SEO service.
Most free audits are automated tool exports built to book a sales call — they find whatever the tool flags, not what costs you money. Ours is structurally different: the free tier is our revenue diagnosis, the same first step every paid engagement starts with, so it has to be accurate or we inherit the error. For most businesses, that diagnosis finds the leak. Deep technical audits on large sites — thousands of URLs, migrations, index problems — are scoped work. That scope is set after the free diagnosis and priced against the return we expect it to produce; the honest metric is cost per closed customer, not cost per page of PDF.
A ranked findings document. Each finding states what is broken, what it is plausibly costing you, what fixing it involves, and what order to fix things in — biggest dollar leak first. It is written so an owner can read it and a developer can act on it. The document is yours either way: hire us to do the work, take it in-house, or hand it to another vendor. An audit you can only act on by hiring the auditor isn't an audit. It's a proposal.
Run a full website SEO audit once a year, and after anything structural: a redesign, a domain or platform migration, a sharp traffic drop, or a change in what you sell. But the annual-PDF model has a flaw. The things that break — rankings, pages, forms, follow-up — break between audits, and nobody notices for months. Monitoring catches in days what a re-audit catches in a year. That's why our engagements include ongoing monitoring instead of selling you the same audit again every January.
Yes. We ask the engines your buyers' questions and track who gets named. Buying research increasingly happens inside AI assistants, and a site can sit on page one of Google while being invisible in every AI answer. The audit covers both layers: classic search visibility and answer engine presence — which questions your business should be the answer to, who is being named instead, and what structured content would change that.

Start where every engagement starts. Free.

This entire page exists to get you to one thing: the free revenue diagnosis. Your visibility, your funnel, your close math — pulled apart in writing by the two people who built their own book doing exactly this. If nothing's broken, the verdict says so and costs you nothing.
